Kurt Scherzinger, vice president of operations for Scherzinger Pest Control, Cincinnati, Ohio, recently was elected president of the Ohio Pest Management Association. Scherzinger will serve a two-year term. He is the first, fourth-generation president of the Ohio Pest Management Association and the fifth member from Scherzinger Pest Control to be president of the association.
Univar Environmental Sciences, a business unit of Univar USA, announced Nathan “Nate” Tamialis has been promoted to the position of director of the Western Region.
Truly Nolen Pest Control recently announced several promotions. Yadnier Gil was promoted to manager of the company’s South Miami (Fla.) service office. Norm Dunham was promoted to territory manager for the company’s commercial service office in Ogden, Utah. Kenneth Haynes was promoted to manager of the company’s Tampa (Fla.) service office. Emily Cruz was promoted to manager of the company’s El Paso (Texas) office. Bill Wilcox was promoted to sales trainer for the company’s Western Commercial Division. His office will be based in the company’s Tempe, Ariz., commercial service center.
Mosquito Authority, Hickory, N.C., hired Craig Stoops as its chief science officer. The position was created to establish a research and development branch of the company that will develop and test novel mosquito and other pest control technologies, the firm said.
