Massey Services announced the promotion of Tami Sawnson to vice president of its multi-family division. She joined the pest management industry in 2001 and began work with Massey Services in 2009 as its director of corporate accounts.
Larue Pest Management announced that David Jordan, general manager, was elected to serve as the southwest regional director for Florida Pest Management Association (FPMA). With more than 30 years of experience in the pest management industry and serving communities throughout the Southwest U.S., Jordan is positioned to be a significant asset in the role, the company said. Jordan joins 10 other officers whose collective responsibilities include promoting, maintaining, and encouraging the civic, social, commercial and industrial welfare of the industry, as well as acting as a public relations counsel for the industry’s affairs and interests.
Northwest Exterminating’s George Simpson was honored with the 2021 Home Builders Association of Tennessee (HBAT) Associate of the Year Award. Simpson is vice president of associates of the Central Tennessee division of HBAT and serves as chair for three committees. He joined Northwest in 2011 and has served the Tennessee area for more than six years. He has been part of the Northwest Business Development Team since 2017.
The Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) announced Kelly McLendon as its newly appointed executive director. McLendon, CAE, has more than 20 years of experience in association management. She has held a variety of positions in several associations, including working with membership campaigns, continuing education programs and fundraising.
Control Solutions promoted Dr. Janis Reed to product development and regulatory director. In the role, Reed will oversee all operations, functions, and activities related to projects as they move through the stages of product development. She will lead the Technical Services Team, the Analytical and Formulation Chemists and oversee the regulatory leadership of the manufacturer.
Georgia-based Knox Pest Control announced Ryan Gates’ promotion to director of sales. Gates has worked in the pest control industry for nine years. He joined Knox in 2017 as district manager of the LaGrange office. In his new position, Gates will oversee the Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Florida sales teams. He has achieved status of associate certified entomologist (A.C.E.).
