Ardent Pest Control was recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies In the United States at this year’s Inc. 5000 Conference and Gala (above). The company ranked 681 out of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the United States.
Team members at Colony Pest Management, based in Brooklyn, N.Y., wore the company’s signature pink hat to help bring awareness to breast cancer in October (above). Colony also donated money to breast cancer research and encouraged its team members and customers to do the same.
ServiceMaster acquired Burke Pest Control, headquartered in Binghamton, N.Y. The deal was announced by Paul Giannamore of The Potomac Company, which served as the exclusive adviser of Burke Pest Control. Burke Pest Control was founded by John M. Burke in 1982. The firm services 10 counties in New York and three counties in Pennsylvania.
Atlanta-based Bug Busters announced the acquisition of Scott Exterminating of Hapeville, Ga. Scott Exterminating started in 1965 and has been owned and operated by James O. Hewin since 1985. Hewin’s team will be joining the team at Bug Busters, but will continue to run out of the same office in Hapeville, Ga.
Dan Christensen and Spencer Teuscher announced the launch of Averse Pest Control, a pest control firm servicing the Boise, Idaho, area. The company was officially launched in January. Christensen and Teuscher each have four years of experience in the pest control industry, both working for different pest control companies in the Midwest.
