Viking Pest Control, Basking Ridge, N.J., was named “Best Pest Control Company for Sustainability” by The Spruce, a digital home and garden magazine. An Anticimex company, Viking uses organic treatments and SMART digital technology to monitor rodent activity. The company is GreenPro certified. “We have been focused on sustainability for many years,” said Eric Gunner, manager, Viking Pest Control. “For example, Viking employees frequently work from home, reducing fuel and GHG emissions. Additionally, all our vehicles have systems to ensure they do not exceed the three-minute idle time. We also run a paperless office, minimizing the amount of paper used; billing is also paperless and is completely online.” Viking also distributes reusable shopping bags to its customers to support the New Jersey ban on single-use bags.
Terminix Triad, Greensboro, N.C., is a finalist in the Triad Business Journal’s 2022 Best Places to Work. The program highlights companies that excel in fostering a great workplace. Paul Treleven, director of sales for Sprague Pest Solutions, Tacoma, Wash., was named to the South Sound Business 40 Under 40 List. The list recognizes professionals in the southern Puget Sound region of Washington state. In his profile, Treleven said working alongside his siblings in a fourth-generation, nearly century-old business has made him a naturally competitive person in his personal and professional pursuits. He credits this atmosphere for giving him a sense of confidence.
Anderson Wildlife Solutions, Woodmoor, Colo., recently acquired When Nature Calls Pest Control’s Colorado office. Gerrod Walker, owner of When Nature Calls Pest Control, and Nick Anderson, owner of Anderson Wildlife Solutions, released the following statement: “The acquisition of When Nature Calls Pest Control (Colorado operations) is a match that will result in continued service of the highest standards in the pest and wildlife control industries. Nick and I will continue to communicate and consult to ensure a smooth transition.” Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
