Pest-Techs Pest Control, Marana, Ariz., was named the 2017 “Best of Marana” in the pest control category by the Marana Award Program. The annual award recognizes local businesses throughout the Marana area for using best practices and implementing programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value. Pest-Techs is owned by Phyllis Farenga and provides residential and commercial services.
Rentokil Steritech, Reading, Pa., acquired Enviro Safe Pest Control, based in Las Vegas and serving clients throughout the greater Las Vegas metro area. The move expands Rentokil Steritech’s residential and commercial pest control reach in the region. Enviro Safe Pest Control was founded in 1996 by Kurt and Heidi Trombetti, members of the Nevada Pest Management Association and Associated Pest Services. The acquisition adds Enviro Safe’s entire staff to the local Rentokil Steritech team. PCO M&A Specialists, a division of PCO Bookkeepers, acted as exclusive financial adviser to Enviro Safe Pest Control.
Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators conducted the #ArrowCares social media campaign with a donation of $5,000 to the Folds of Honor Foundation. The fundraising campaign ran during November in conjunction with national Veterans and Military Families’ Month and encouraged team members and customers to honor veterans and raise awareness for a worthy organization.
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Center for Verification and Evaluation, announced that NJ Pest, Randolph, N.J., has been verified as a Service-Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). NJ Pest has gone through an extensive verification process to achieve SDVOSB status. “Becoming a VA verified business was important to me because I strive to offer consumers the best service possible and with integrity,” said NJ Pest’s Russell Sieb. “This designation offers consumers solid proof of our willingness to go above and beyond.” Sieb is a Gulf War Navy veteran. The firm says it is the only pest control company in New Jersey with this designation.
Central Virginia’s Loyal Termite & Pest Control has again taken top honors as Richmond Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award/Pest Control Services Winner. This is the eighth consecutive year that Loyal has received this award. In addition, Loyal received the Angie’s List 2017 Super Service Award. Loyal has been a perennial winner (11 consecutive years) of this award. Nick Lupini is president of the firm; Gena Lupini serves as vice president, pest management services.
For the sixth year in a row, Reynolds Pest Management, Port Saint Lucie, Fla., earned the 2017 Angie’s List Super Service Award. The company also announced it was named Angie’s List Top in State for the sixth year in a row.
