FMC Professional Solutions is offering a special deal on Talstar. Through Nov. 30, FMC is offering its “Buy Three Get the Fourth Free” promotion on the ¾-gallon and 1-gallon size jugs of Talstar Professional. The promotion is honored at the time of purchase.
Talstar Professional is a long-lasting, broad-spectrum liquid insecticide used on more than 75 pests, including ants, fleas, cockroaches and now stink bugs. Talstar is approved for multiple-use sites, including industrial, commercial and food-handling areas. In addition, it is water-based, so once dry, it is virtually impossible to tell where Talstar Professional has been sprayed, FMC said.

Pest Barrier
Green Eye Termite Monitoring is a new in-ground termite-monitoring station offered by Pest Barrier. The product combines a cellulose attractant and a visual indicator that can be seen without bending down or using special tools, and it has no moving parts.
The chemical-free Green Eye is a green dot on a brass weight in a plastic tube, sealed at the bottom by a wooden plug. When termites eat through the plug and the cellulose material, the brass weight slides down and the green dot disappears. The inner tube also can be installed directly into concrete using a 5/8-inch drill bit. It should be installed every 10 to 12 feet around a structure. Pest Barrier is a division of Bird Barrier of America.

Dow AgroSciences
A new label amendment now gives authorized operators of the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System with Always Active technology an extra 30 days beyond the annual inspection date. With recent acceptance in New York state, this inspection date flexibility is now approved across the United States. The amended label allows for monitoring of the site on an annual basis plus up to 30 days beyond the annual inspection date. This 30-day service cushion provides added flexibility for annual service of Recruit HD termite bait in the event of busy schedules, weather-related conditions or other interruptions that may delay the 12-month inspection.

Bell Laboratories
Bell Laboratories has introduced the T1 Rat Disposable Bait Station, a disposable, pre-baited bait station that can be left at a residential or commercial account and thrown away after the bait, a 4-ounce bromethalin block, has been consumed. The tamper-resistant bait station is labeled “Kid and Dog Resistant,” having met the highest level of station security and quality based on test protocols established by EPA, Bell Labs reports. The station can be used indoors and outdoors within 50 feet of buildings accessible to children and dogs.
Pre-baited T1 Rat holds Bell’s rat-sized bait blox and has the active ingredient, bromethalin. Once rats consume a lethal dose, usually in a single night’s feeding, they die in as few as two days, the company said, adding that rats stop feeding after eating a lethal dose, reducing the amount of bait required and having a very low risk of secondary poisoning. The see-through plastic lid also makes monitoring bait consumption easy, the company added. When bait is gone, the station can be discarded, reducing the need for return visits. TI Rat can be placed horizontally or vertically, giving rats access from various angles. It is sold in one-pack cartons and is labeled for individual sale.

Bird-B-Gone
The Bird Jolt Flat Track bird deterrent system features a patented anti-arcing and glue trough design that is safe and effective against all species of birds, according to manufacturer Bird-B-Gone.
The glue troughs along the base of the Bird Jolt system raise and insulate the threads that secure the conductors, preventing water from creating a conductive channel beneath the track by wicking up the threads and shorting out the track. The glue troughs also provide strong adhesion.
Bird Jolt’s low-profile design makes it well suited for use in areas where aesthetics are of concern. Available in four colors — grey, stone, black and terra cotta — it comes in 100-foot rolls and can be installed on curved or straight surfaces. Measuring ¼-inch at its highest point, the Bird Jolt system can be used in a variety of locations including ledges, rooflines, signs, I-beams, parapet walls and eaves.
