Brandenburg NA
The new Genus Orbit Insect Light Trap incorporates Brandenburg's patented Translucent Technology, designed to provide outstanding performance and a hinged cover for ease of servicing. Incorporating three 15-watt standard or sleeved bulbs for additional safety, the patented technology is designed to increase UVa dispersal and the scope of fly catch. A pheromone tray allows placement of insect attractants in the unit. The fully hinged cover and quick release fascia allows for easy access, helping to reduce labor time. Meanwhile, the company's Genus Orbit Jet Proof is designed for especially wet areas or those that need to be washed down frequently. According to the manufacturer, the trap incorporates the same features as the Genus Orbit but is designed to withstand heavy streams of water. The Genus Orbit Jet Proof is only available with sleeved bulbs.

LG Life Sciences
A label amendment for Lambdastar 9.7% CS was recently approved in New York that specifically lists brown marmorated stink bugs, kudzu bugs and bed bug adults and nymphs. The company says similar Lambdastar formulations sold for crop protection appear to be good control agents against stink bug species. Separately, LG Life Sciences says it has conducted laboratory trials on carpet tiles to show that Lambdastar 9.7% CS is also an effective insecticide for control of bed bugs. Direct spray knockdown trials resulted in rapid kill of bed bugs, the company said, and on carpet tiles, tests showed that dried residues on the surface would provide significant mortality even after two to three months.
Lambdastar 9.7% CS is an EcoCap formulation designed to provide both quick kill and exceptional residual control of perimeter pests including ants, scorpions, mosquitoes and crickets.

J.F. Oakes
J. F. Oakes is offering a new and improved Pro-Pest Insect Trap for cockroaches and other crawling insects. Pro-Pest Insect Traps are printed black inside to better entice insects that like dark places to harbor, and the new trap features an improved roach attractant, the company says. Pro-Pest Insect Traps are printed in both English and Spanish and are designed with 45-degree slopes at both ends. Once on the glue surface, insects cannot escape, J. F. Oakes says. Pro-Pest Insect Traps have wings designed to protect the glue surface from dust and to allow air to flow through the trap to help disperse the attractant. Their low profile helps keep them discreet, the company says.

Nixalite

New Bird Dispersal Hazing Systems from Nixalite are designed to repel unwanted birds by creating a lighter, dryer haze of Fog Force bird repellent than other systems. Automated and self-contained, the Hazing Systems produce an environmentally friendly haze to repel avian birds, the company says. The line includes products for covering larger outdoor areas and a portable system for use in remote areas. Each product, while entirely humane, uses a haze that creates an irritation when inhaled by the birds, causing them to associate that area with the repellent and avoid it altogether, Nixalite says. Unlike other bird haze systems, there is no need for external plumbing, compressors or control units, the company says, making these systems efficient and economical. According to Nixalite, the Hazing Systems can run unattended up to three months at the proper settings, creating a convenient, long-term control solution.
