CARSON, Calif. - Veterans Advocacy Group of America (VAGA) hosted more than 500 veterans and their families for the 8th annual VAGA Veterans Thanksgiving Appreciation Dinner.
Sterling Barbour, president of Revolution National Pest Council and vice president of Veterans Advocacy Group of America (VAGA), said that in addition to the dinner, VAGA provided resources to more than 500 veterans and their families, including 100 homeless veterans.
Guests shared heartfelt appreciation for the experience, especially the excitement of seeing five members of the LA Chargers engage with the community by serving meals and giving out prizes.
“Our mission remains steadfast: honoring past, present, and future service members. Thanks to organizations like yours, we continue breaking barriers and creating opportunities that improve veterans' lives,” said Barbour. “Together, we are building a future with better resources, career paths, and support systems.”

Hire Vets Platinum Award - Revolution National Pest Council (RNPC) was announced as a 2024 HIRE Vets Platinum Award Winner for the eighth year in a row. This is the only federal-level veterans' employment award that recognizes a company or organization's commitment to veteran hiring.
President's Lifetime Achievement Award - The Barbours were recognized by President Joe Biden with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for more than 10,000 hours of service to the United States of America. A letter from the White House recognized the Barbours for sharing their time and passion to help discover and deliver solutions to the challenges facing the country. "We are living in a moment that calls for hope and light and love. Hope for our futures, light to see our way forward, and love for one another. Through your service, you are providing all three."
