ATLANTA – Northwest Exterminating has continued its partnership with Atlanta Mission with ongoing donations of HealthySpace disinfection resources and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in an effort to keep the Mission’s three locations sanitized for those utilizing their resources.
HealthySpace by Northwest is a sanitization and disinfection service able to eliminate 99.99% of pathogens. It was developed to provide peace of mind to homes and businesses across the Southeast during an uncertain time.
The partnership began in mid-2020 as the Atlanta Mission sought ways to remain a resource to the Atlanta community throughout the pandemic’s restrictions. Northwest met that need by offering training to Atlanta Mission volunteers and regulars so they could understand the products, learn how to use the equipment, and create a disinfection schedule. This is alongside the ongoing resource, equipment, and PPE donations. The goal of coming together was to provide peace of mind to those volunteering at and using the facilities without needing to purchase ongoing services or disinfection products which would have been costly for the non-profit.
“What a blessing to have the opportunity to creatively problem solve a sanitization solution for the Atlanta Mission. They serve some of our most vulnerable, and like everyone else, had never faced something like COVID-19 before,” said Adam Vannest, Northwest Vice President of Technical Services and Training. “This is what I love about working with Northwest. Being able to partner with organizations making a difference in our communities and creating a healthier environment while we do it. Atlanta is fortunate to have the Atlanta Mission.”
When asked about the partnership, Ryan Overall, Atlanta Mission’s Director of Facilities, said, “The team at Northwest Exterminating have generously partnered with Atlanta Mission to provide our facilities team with the training, expertise, and supplies that help keep our facility sanitized, clean, and safe so we can focus on best serving our clients. Our clients and staff are safer, and our facilities are in better shape thanks to Northwest.”
Northwest is grateful to have the opportunity to meet the needs of our communities and to serve through more than just pest control. The Atlanta Mission offers life skills classes, meals, beds, and more to men, women, and children impacted by homelessness.
