NEWNAN & DALLAS, Ga. - Employees from Northwest Exterminating's Newnan and Dallas, Ga., service centers teamed up with Wreaths Across America this holiday season to honor those who have served and remember fallen military veterans by placing wreaths on various tombstones.

The event is held yearly and impacts more than 3,700 locations across the U.S. Multiple people in the area were also in attendance and wreaths were placed at every burial site. Northwest employees teamed up to join in the nationwide ceremony at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

"I'm thankful to be surrounded by teammates who have a passion for serving others. Teammates from across the Southeast look for ways to make a difference in big and small ways all year long," said Stephen Phillips, Co-President of Northwest Exterminating Family of Brands. "Like my dad used to say, as much as we’re in the bug business, we’re really in the people business. Taking care of a home or business pest concern is what we do, but taking care of people, are communities, customers, and teammates, is really what it’s all about.”

The Northwest Good Deed Team organizes the company's community involvement in various organizations throughout the year.

Kristen Milligan, co-director of the Good Deed Team, said, "What's so extraordinary about the Good Deed Team is that we have over 1,200 teammates looking for ways to make a difference. Every teammate is a member of the Good Deed Team, and because everyone has different interests and passions, we have this amazing opportunity to support so many different organizations, initiatives, and missions. I’m so grateful that the act of serving is woven into the culture of our Family of Brands. It’s not a matter of if someone wants to help, it’s simply a matter of where and when!”
