LOUISVILLE, Ken. – Okolona Pest Control (OPC), a Rollins company, acquires McGee Pest Control and Toby’s Pest Control, which have three locations between them in Kentucky. The transactions closed on June 18, and were announced by LR Tullius.
McGee Pest Control was founded in 1962 by Ocie McGee in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Ocie’s son, Mark McGee, one of the owners up until the sale to Okolona, became the president of McGee Pest Control in 1982. In 1984, an office was opened in Murray, Kentucky, and a new entity established, which was led by Ocie’s other son, Rick McGee. The companies combine to service Hopkinsville, Murray, and Bowling Green, Kentucky as well as Middle Tennessee. They provide pest control and termite services to residential and commercial customers as well as fumigation services to mostly agricultural, tobacco, and food processing facilities.
Said Mark McGee, “I’m very thankful and grateful that we were able to find the right fit for our business and be able to partner with the Okolona and Rollins teams. I believe our people are in the best position to be able to grow and benefit from additional future opportunities”.
LR Tullius represented and acted as exclusive financial advisor to McGee Pest Control in connection with the transactions.
