CLEVELAND - There's no better time to give back then during the holiday season. PCT received a slew of feel good stories from pest control companies and association that have taken time to give back to their communities during this time of giving.
Here are some of the greatest "give backs" PCT reported this holiday season:
- OPC Pest Services employees and even some of their customers, blessed 20 families in the Bowling Green, Ken., area with a complete Thanksgiving meal. Each family received a 3-pound turkey breast, yams, cranberry sauce, carrots, green beans, peas, corn, mashed potatoes, cornbread mix, fried apples, stuffing and mac and cheese. - Abell Pest Control gave a $20,000 donation to local food banks across North America, while giving $500 to each employee to support them during the economic challenges. The company provided an additional $500 check for employees, with taxes paid to support them during these tough economic times. Read the full story here.
- The Colorado Pest Control Association (CPCA) recently formed a PestVets state unit coordinated with pest control company members to collect more than 700 coats and pieces of winter weather gear for veterans in need. Read the full story here.
- Toronto-based Gardex Chemicals, a Canadian structural market distributor, hosted its third annual toy and food drive in support of a local shelter serving women in need of a safe space to live. Many of these women have children to care for, with ages ranging from newborns to teenagers. Read the full story here.
- Viking Pest Control collected a truckload of donations, and every branch and administrative team contributed, even remote workers participated by donating cash, which was used to purchase additional food items. Read the full story here.
