TACOMA, Wash. –Sprague Pest Solutions announced Darren Van Steenwyk has been promoted to director of regulatory and compliance, and Ashley Roden has been named the new technical director.
Van Steenwyk, BCE, brings more than 20 years of experience in regulatory oversight and pest management to his new role as director of regulatory and compliance. In this role, Van Steenwyk will lead Sprague’s Quality Assurance (QA) Team to ensure full compliance with industry standards, state and federal regulations, while continuing to advocate for best practices in commercial pest control.
As a board-certified entomologist (BCE), former president of the California Structural Pest Control Board, and
his work as the Regulatory Affairs Committee Chairman for PCOC, his focus on proactive compliance
strategies makes him an invaluable asset as Sprague continues to expand its commercial service
footprint.

Ashley Roden, BCE, a highly respected expert in pest biology and innovative pest control techniques, has
been promoted to the role of technical director. With more than 15 years of technical training and
speaking at numerous pest association conferences, Roden will lead Sprague’s technical team
innovation. Her team will develop and refine strategies that ensure effective, sustainable, and cuttingedge solutions for our commercial clients. She will oversee training, service quality, and the integration
of new technologies, maintaining the high standard of service that has become synonymous with
Sprague.
